At Huntsville Middle School, we are proud to provide our students with every opportunity to excel in all areas.  We believe that by providing our students with a strong foundation in technology, we are helping to open the door to their future success.

This year will be very exciting.  We are going to be able to offer keyboarding to every student during their computer lab time.  Our students will be using a computer based typing program called Micro Type Multimedia.  This program takes the student though basic keyboarding skills for ABC’s, Numbers & Characters, and the Keypad.

Our eighth grade students will be given the opportunity to excel to a higher level by taking Advanced Keyboarding during their enrichment time.  After completing the Micro Type Program, these students will advance to the Microsoft Office Programs Word and Excel, to create various projects. 

In lab #2, teachers bring their students work in Compass Learning.  This program is designed to remediate and accelerate students' skills in language, math and reading.  Students are placed into subjects aligned with skills being taught in the classrooms.  To help students monitor and track progress, they are required to record dates and scores in their student folders.
